'Tokyo Olympics 3 gold' Ahn won't be in Paris

 


An, 23, who won three gold medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has been eliminated from the 2024 team selection process. She will not compete at the Paris Olympics in the same year.

The third round of the 2024 National Team Trials took place on Nov. 11 at the Gwangju International Archery Center. An finished 21st out of 24 archers with a total score of 14.5 points in rounds 1-3. While 16 of the 24 archers competed in rounds 4-6, Ansan was eliminated in rounds 1-3 and will not represent the 2024 national archery team.

Ansan qualified for the 2023 national team for the third time. She finished eighth in the first round, earning 8.5 points, followed by five points in the second round and one point in the third round for a total of 14.5 points.

Three-time Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 triple medalist Lim Im-hyun (21-Korea Gymnastics University) finished first and advanced to the fourth through sixth rounds. Lim Hae-jin (29-Daejeon City Sports Association) and Yeom Hye-jung (21-Kyunghee University) finished second and third, respectively.

In addition, Tokyo Olympic men's team archery gold medalists Kim Woo-jin (32, Cheongju City Government) and Kim Jeduk (20, Yecheon County Government) advanced 토토사이트 to the fourth through sixth rounds after finishing first and second in rounds one through three, respectively. The final gateway to Paris awaits. Two final trials in March and April are required to qualify for the Olympic Games. Three men and three women will make the final roster for Paris.
