Center back Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), who has been pushed out of position alongside 'monster' Kim Min-jae, has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving in the summer. "Do I have any plans to leave Munich in the summer? Absolutely not," Upamecano told German soccer publication Kicker on Wednesday, dismissing transfer speculation. Classified as the first-choice center back before the 2023-2024 season, France international Upamecano has formed a first-choice center back duo with new signing Kim Min-Jae since the start of the season. However, two sending-offs and a string of injuries to the lineup slowly eroded Upamecano's position. The arrival of Tottenham signing Eric Dier in January also hit Upamecano's position hard.
