Celtic's Yang Hyun-Jun gets his first assist in two games

 After joining Scottish professional soccer's top club Celtic this summer, Yang Hyun-joon has recorded his first offensive point in just two league games.

Yang scored an assist after coming off the bench in the second half of Celtic's 2023-2024 Scottish Premiership second-round match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium in Aberdeen, Scotland, on March 13.

Yang made his official match debut in the regular-season opener against Ross County on Sept. 5, coming on as a 34th-minute substitute, and he did so again today, starting on the bench before coming on for Riel Abada in the 25th minute.

He delivered a quick, low cross from the flank in the 39th minute to Matt O'Reilly, who calmly slotted home the winner. Celtic beat Aberdeen 3-1 to make it two wins in a row to open the season. After coming off the bench in the opening two games of the league, Yang played more minutes on this occasion than in the previous match.

Yang Hyun-joon, who joined Celtic at the end of last month after a stellar career at Gangwon FC in the K League One, scored his first attacking point for the club, signaling a promising start to the season.

In addition to striker Oh Hyun-gyu, who has been playing since the beginning of the year, Celtic have added Yang Hyun-joon and midfielder Kwon Hyuk-kyu, both of whom played in the K League before this season, to form a 'Korean trio'.
